How much of it is actually bad

Replacing chain link
A lot of the older lots here still have chain link, and most of the replacement work we do starts by taking it out. Chain link posts are set in concrete, so pulling them is real work rather than a lift, and it is worth having done properly because a snapped off stub sits exactly where the new post wants to go.
The old fabric, rails and posts leave on our trailer the same day. Chain link is bulky and awkward and leaving it in a pile beside the driveway for a week is a poor trade for the customer.
If you are going from chain link to board, the post spacing changes, so it is a new layout rather than a swap into existing holes.
Small jobs are still jobs
A single post, a gate that will not latch, a section a limb came down on. Those are a normal part of the week here and they are worth calling about rather than living with.
